Bask VelaSun fixed pergola roofs: year-round shelter from sun and rain, in polycarbonate, glass or open.

What is a pergola roof?

A pergola roof is a fixed frame over your deck or patio that shelters it from sun and rain. We supply and install the Bask VelaSun: an aluminium pergola with a grey polycarbonate, glass or open roof, custom-made in New Zealand for homes across Kerikeri, the Bay of Islands and Northland.

Want shelter without opening blades? The Bask VelaSun is a fixed aluminium pergola roof that keeps the sun and rain off your deck or patio, so you can use it all year round.

The frame is solid aluminium, low maintenance and built to last, powder coated to blend with your home. Each VelaSun is custom designed and made in New Zealand to suit your space, whether it’s a new build or an existing home.

Pergola roof questions

What roof options does the VelaSun have?

Three: grey polycarbonate, glass, or an open pergola with no roof infill. Polycarbonate and glass both let diffused light through while blocking heat.

Will it protect my outdoor furniture from the sun?

The grey polycarbonate roof blocks the harsh New Zealand sun, which helps stop outdoor furniture fading.

Can a pergola roof be added to my existing home?

Yes. A VelaSun can go on a new build or be added to an existing home.

What colours are available?

The aluminium frame can be powder coated in a wide range of colours to blend with your home.

What's the difference between a pergola roof and a louvre roof?

A pergola roof has a fixed roof of polycarbonate, glass or nothing at all. A louvre roof has aluminium blades you can open for sun, angle for shade or close for rain. We supply and install both.

How much does a pergola roof cost?

It depends on the size, the roof style, how complex the install is, and how far you are from our Waipapa workshop. The measure and quote are free.

How long does it take?

We usually come and measure within a week. How long installation takes depends on the size and complexity of the job and the distance from our workshop.

Do you offer a warranty?

Which areas do you cover?

Kerikeri, the Bay of Islands and the rest of Northland, from our workshop at 40 Klinac Lane, Waipapa.
